About East Africa Petroleum
The East African region is emerging as an oil boom following vast reports of unexploited extractive deposits, especially after the recent discoveries made in Uganda and Tanzania. Discoveries in the region are now estimated at 2.5 billion barrels of oil and three trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Although the region is currently largely under explored and untapped, the industry will not be sustainable without necessary policies, legal and institutional regimes, improved infrastructure, logistics and distribution, as well as skills development and retention.
The first East Africa Petroleum Summit (EAPET 2012) - bought to you by The Energy Exchange and co-located with EAPIC 2012, will bring key business players, government leaders, REC’s, financial institutions and African policy makers to discuss and facilitate action, as well as address project specific petroleum challenges within the region.
The event will showcase a number of game changing E&P investment opportunities, debate policy and regulation development, address infrastructure constraints and discuss ways to meet East Africa’s investment needs in order to grow this emerging market and build sustainability within the region.
Why attend:
EAPET 2012 will provide critical insights, and a venue for the business and development communities to advance East Africa’s many oil and gas opportunities in this growing space through open networking sessions and dynamic panel discussions led by market leading investors, petroleum players and African Ministers of Energy, Infrastructure and Petroleum.
EAPET 2012 is the must attend event if you want to meet with the region’s leading oil and gas players and be a part of this emerging market
